Terms of Service

By using Hexilize ("the game", "the service") at hexilize.com you agree to these terms. Keep it simple: be fair, be decent, do not break things.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By signing up you confirm you meet this age requirement.
2. Your account
You are responsible for what happens on your account. Pick a unique password, do not share your credentials, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- cheat, bot, automate, reverse-engineer, or exploit bugs to gain an unfair advantage;
- harass, threaten, or post hateful, illegal, or sexually explicit content (in usernames or anywhere else);
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or attack the service or its players;
- sell, buy, trade, or transfer accounts or in-game currency for real-world value.
4. Moderation and termination
We may warn, suspend, reset, or permanently ban accounts at our discretion if we believe these terms have been broken. We may also remove or modify in-game content. We try to be fair but we do not owe a refund or compensation for moderation actions.
5. Pricing
The game is currently free to play. We may introduce paid features (cosmetics, subscriptions, or similar) in the future. If we do, separate terms covering payments, refunds, and applicable consumer rights will apply.
6. Service availability
We may change, pause, or stop parts of the service at any time, including resetting the world or deleting inactive accounts. We will try to give notice for major changes but cannot always do so.
7. Ownership
Hexilize, its code, art, name, and branding belong to us. You keep ownership of content you create (e.g. a custom username), but you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it within the game for the purpose of running the service.
8. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hexilize and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or in-game progress, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under French or EU law that cannot be waived by contract.

How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date above and, for material changes, post a notice in-game. Continuing to use the service after the change means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes fall under the competent French courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
